NIGHT PORTER

We are looking to recruit both full time and part time Night Porter positions to start immediately.


This key role at the Hotel is varied and carries total responsibility for the Hotel, guests and property between 11pm and 7am the next morning.

The primary duties include but are not limited to: Late guests arrivals, early guest departures, night bar and room service orders, preparation of room service breakfast trays, alarm wake up calls, newspapers, regular floor walks of entire building, cleaning of public areas, guest shoe polishing as required, breaking down of conference rooms, set up of conference and functions rooms for the next day, general cleaning and tidying of Hotel areas as required, operating the dishwasher, maintaining security of the premises and guests at all times.

HEAD WAITER / RESTAURANT SUPERVISOR

Permanent Position



Responsible to Assistant Restaurant Manager to run and provide an efficient, expedient and courteous service in food and beverages service and to ensure you meet the expectation of customers and company satisfaction. 

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES

  • Receiving and greeting customers.
  • Responsible for the supervision of Restaurant Staff to ensure all food &
  • beverage services are performed at the highest standards.
  • Preparing The Hermitage, Lumley, Slipper, Lounge and Bar for food service.
  • Promoting and up selling food and beverage.
  • Take and check bookings.
  • Receive restaurant payments.
  • Takes orders and deliver to the customers, clean and clear tables and performs supplementary duties in kitchen functions.
  • Dispenses alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at the request of the waiting Staff or customer’s order.
  • Work according to instruction given or work schedule.
  • Report to work, wearing clean uniform at all times.
  • Have fully understanding of the restaurant’s operation policies and procedures.
  • To be familiar with all menu items and wine list.
  • To make sure all beverages and food dishes are served according to the menu and wine list specifications.
  • Assist in complying the wine list.
  • Wine, beer and sprit ordering and maintaining price control.
  • Cellar management.
  • Carry out pre service restaurant Staff briefings.
  • Attend Head of Department Meetings.
  • Participation in Staff training and other programs.
  • Maintaining a good teamwork relationship with Staff.
  • Maintaining high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
