THE BROOKFIELD HOTEL
The original Brookfield House was built in the 1890s as a well-to-do middle class home; the profile of this house can still be seen in the Hotel today. Before that the land was part of the common land of the Parish of Warblington, quite remote and within the area patrolled by a highwayman, as well as near the local smugglers’ routes. One of the families who lived in this property were the Paxtons, whose son, Archie, was to die on the first day of the Battle of the Somme in 1916. Over the years the business expanded until it was able to add a restaurant and offer full hotel services.
Ideally located between Portsmouth and Chichester in the coastal village of Emsworth, The Brookfield Hotel offers it’s guests an outstanding venue to meet with friends, family and business associates. We provide attentive yet relaxed service to all our guests, whether they are stopping by for a quick cocktail after work, hosting a function with us or indulging in a relaxing dinner in our Hermitage Restaurant. Residents and non-residents all welcome.
To enhance your visit further, we offer guests ample free car parking and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout our comfortable bedrooms and public areas.
All bedrooms and bathrooms are continually refurbished, so whether you are attending to business or have the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing holiday, why not see what The Brookfield Hotel can offer you.
We understand that our staff can have the greatest impact during your time with us, so why not meet some of our team.
