2013 Wodehouse Festival

Friday 11th October  |  View all What's On

P.G. Wodehouse invented the Drones Club for Bertie Wooster to hide in; to keep away from his aunts and potential fiancés.

The Brookfield Hotel will be the location of The Drones Club from 11th to 15th October 2013, when a new Wodehouse Festival comes to Emsworth.

P.G. Wodehouse lived in Emsworth from 1904 until 1914, so it is fitting that the town that gave him many of his ideas should play host to this event.  There will be music, words, readings and talks to mark the birthday of the great man.

PROSPECTIVE EVENTS

  • Palm Court Cabaret supper with Olivia singing the songs of P.G. Wodehouse – An elegant start to the weekend.
  • Titchfield Players performing a revue of the dramatised works of P.G. Wodehouse - A relaxing Sunday evening.
  • Happy Birthday Wodehouse - Afternoon tea with birthday cake and suitable Wodehousian entertainment.
  • Inclusive ticket for all three events.
